Patna, (Bihar Times): Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) surprised all by announcing the name of Prakash Jha as their candidate from Bettiah parliamentary constituency. Earlier he was close to Nitish Kumar and the ruling NDA alliance in Bihar. Last time he unsuccessfully contested from the same seat as an independent candidate.
The party has also decided to field former Rajya member, Ranjan Prasad Yadav from Patliputra seat from where RJD supreme is likely to contest. The sitting party MP from Saharsa, Ranjita Ranjan will contest from newly carved out Supaul constituency.
“The National executive of our party has decided to contest 20 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. The names of all our candidates are almost final barring a few seats” disclosed LJP supremo Ram Vilas Paswan to a local English daily.
