Police suspect involvement of rail ministry official from Bihar in question leak scam

Patna, (Bihar Times): There is a possible involvement of a railway ministry official from Bihar in the Railway Recruitment Board paper leak in Ajmer.

Reports said that as many as 62 of the total 91 candidates arrested on Sunday in Jaipur and Bhopal, have named the same individual as the person who collected the first installment of the charges from them.

The concerned person from Bihar is said to be close to the second tier in the Railway top brass. Thirteen of the 15 gang members arrested on Sunday also come from Bihar.

The name of this person also figured when Bedi Lal, a former chief train ticket examiner (CTTE) of the North Eastern Railway (NER), was arrested in December last. Bedi Lal, who was sacked earlier by the railways, was identified as the kingpin of the racket.

Newspaper reports quoting sources said that the person in question is believed to enjoy more than considerable clout in the ministry. Thus there is a little hope that this person will ever land in the police dragnet at least in the near future.
