New Delhi, Feb 24 ;Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Tuesday described as "nonsense" a report that he would not spare more than 13 Lok Sabha seats to his allies in Bihar.
"All this is media fabrication. I never spoke about number of seats. We have not even discussed seat sharing. All this is nonsense," Lalu Prasad told reporters on the sidelines of a book launch at the Rail Museum here.
"All I said was that we will fight the elections together," he added.
Lalu Prasad was earlier quoted as saying that he would contest the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar in alliance with the Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). He reportedly ruled out conceding more than the 13 seats given to these allies in 2004.
In the 40-seat state assembly, the RJD had contested 26 seats, the LJP eight, the Congress four and the NCP one. One seat went to the Communist Party of India-Marxist.
