Patna (Bihar Times): Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will lead the Bihar delegation at NRI meet to be held in Chennai from 7 to 9th January.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the convention on 8th January and the President Pratibha Patl will deliver the valedictory address and also confer Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards for 2009 on 9th January.
The Bihar delegation consists of industry minister Dinesh Chandra Yadav, principal secretary of state industry department A K Sinha, Chief Executive officer of Bihar Foundation Jitendra Srivastava, Bihar Industries Association president K P Jhunjhunwala, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) state chief Satyajit Singh and Bihar Chamber of Commerce chief P K Agarwal.
“An exhibition on “Changing Bihar” theme would be the prime attraction at the meet in Bihar pavilion” said Modi. He also said that in Diaspora interaction programme every state would get a chance to directly interact with NRIs participating in the meet. In a changing scenario of Bihar govt. would market key areas for investment in the state like food processing, agriculture and infrastructure development and tourism etc, he added.
The deputy chief Minister would also have a special meeting with the members of Bihar Samaj in Chennai.The Bihar foundation team has geared up for launching Bihar Chapter in Chennai. A team of officers are already camping in Chennai to establish linkages with them before finally launching the chapter.
