Patna, Jan 27 :A leopard was killed by villagers in Bihar Tuesday, a police officer said.
The leopard was first stoned by the villagers and later beaten to death with bamboo sticks and iron rods. It had strayed into the Pachhi village of Madhubani district from a nearby forest.
After scores of villagers chased the leopard into a mango garden, the leopard climbed a tree. "But villagers stoned and killed it when it fell from the tree," the officer added.
