Patna, (Bihar Times): Krishna Chandra Verma, a former Bihar cadre 1971 batch IPS officer, is now the new chief of Research Analysis Wing (RAW). However, it is after the bifurcation of Bihar in 2000 that he became the Jharkhand cadre officer.
Schooled in Mayo College, Ajmer, he comes from the police family of Uttar Pradesh. His father was a deputy superintendent of police there. His younger brother Arun Chandra Verma is the 1979 batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre and is at present posted as ADG, Darbhanga Zone.
