Veteran journalist passes away Patna,(BiharTimes): Veteran journalist P K Krupakarn died in the state capital on Saturday after a protracted illness. Krupakarn, who worked for the Indian Express for over 40 years, had to his credit covering the 1971 Indo-Pak War, which led to the creation of Bangladesh and the 1974 Jayaprakash Narayan-led Sampurna Kranti Movement. He worked in three states Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. Krupakaran is survived by two daughters. One of his daughters, K Shashikala is associated with the Times of India, Patna while his son K Balchand, is the special correspondent, The Hindu, in New Delhi. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was prominent among those who condoled his death and declared state funeral in his respect.
