Harsh action against rebel Janata Dal (United) MPs ruled out

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): A meeting of Janata Dal (United) state executive would be held in Patna on January 8 and 9 to discuss the strategy to further strengthen the organisation and intensify the membership drive.



Talking to reporters on Sunday party’s state president, Vashisht Narayan Singh, hinted that actions would be taken within democratic process would be adopted to take disciplinary action against those involved in anti-party activities during the recent Assembly elections in Bihar.

He said that “we are not going to behaving like a magistrate but have decided to adopt democratic process to take disciplinary action against all those who indulged in anti-party activities during or before the elections.”
The state JD(U) president said that action would be taken in keeping with the recommendations of the party’s disciplinary committee.
It needs to be recalled that former state JD(U) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, besides Mahabali Singh, Monazir Hassan, Poornamasi Ram, Sushil Singh, Upendra Kushwaha and several other MPs openly campaigned against the Janata Dal (United) and publicly flayed Nitish Kumar during the election speeches.

They not only opposed the official nominees of the party but procured ticket for their close relatives from rival parties.
