12/07/2010 Large scale bungling in transfer of officials Patna,(BiharTimes): Alleging that large scale bungling has taken place in the recent transfer of bureaucrats RJD chief Lalu Yadav said that caste had played a very important role in posting officers in Nitish Kumar’s Bihar. He charged that bungling had taken place in the transfer of SDOs, BDOs and COs during the last administrative reshuffle. Lalu said that during his and his wife’s tenure only two Yadavs served as the district magistrate while today officers belonging to one caste has overwhelming presence in the bureaucracy. He said that cognizable offences in Bihar had increased in the last five years and Nitish had divided the society in the name of Dalit and Mahadalit and by raising the issue of Bataidari. He said that the response to the Bandh was unprecedented and the RJD and LJP would continue to agitate against price rise and corrutption in the Nitish Kumar government. He apologized to the people for inconvenience caused to them during the Bihar Bandh (Shutdown). Lalu took to task the Centre as well as the state government for their failure in all the fronts. He made it amply clear that he did not support the NDA sponsored India Shutdown on July 5 because his party did not want to associate with the communal elements.
