SKSC to be developed on pattern of Kolkata Science City

 

Patna(Bihar Times): The Information and Technology Minister, Anil Kumar, on Monday said that the state government had planned to develop Sri Krishna Science Center (SKSC) a la the Kolkata Science City.

Speaking on the occasion of the inaugural function of Jurassic Park, Indian scientific busts, 3D film hall and travelling exhibition ‘Darwin Now’ developed by the British Council, he said that he would talk to the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, for providing adequate land for this project.

The Minister said that these programmes would help students learn science in more interesting way.
Director of National Council of Science Museum, G S Routela, said that he had submitted a proposal of Rs 1.5 crore to the Union ministry of culture for development of astronomy awareness camp in Taregana and Khagaul.

Sujata Singh, Eastern Zone director of the British Council, said that it was the first scientific initiative of the Council with SKSC.

Vishnu Dev Halder, National award winner for environmental film, introduced Darwin Now.

Director of Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata, E Islam, welcomed the guests.
