29/07/2010 Nitish meets Governor Devanand Konwar Though it was described as a a courtesy call yet political observers are attaching some meaning to it as it came barealy a week after delegations of opposition parties submitted memoranda to the Governor seeking immediate dismissal of the Nitish Kumar government in the wake of CAG report that highlighted the irregularities worth Rs 11,412 crore in the centrally-sponsored schemes.
The opposition parties dubbed it as scam bigger than the one which took place in animal husbandry department in early 1990s as the nature of fake withdrawals were almost same.
