Patna, Oct 4 (IANS) Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi will contest the state assembly elections from two constituencies this month, her husband and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) head Lalu Prasad announced Monday.
She will contest from Raghopur in Vaishali district and Sonepur in Chapra district in the third phase of the state assembly elections, he told reporters here.

The party has decided to field Rabri Devi from two constituencies. "We are sure that she will win from both the seats," Lalu Prasad said.
At present, Rabri Devi is the sitting legislator from Raghopur constituency.
The RJD also released the second list of 60 candidates for the third and fourth phases of the polls.
Rabri Devi, in her mid-50s, was the chief minister from 1997 to 2005 with the active support of Lalu Prasad, who was allegedly ruling the state on her behalf. She was the first and the only woman chief minister of Bihar so far.
Political analysts say Rabri Devi, a school dropout, is no match for engineer-turned-politician Nitish Kumar, who is widely seen as a politician with vision and acumen.
Bihar will elect its 243-member assembly in polling in six phases that begins Oct 21 and ends Nov 20. The results will be declared Nov 24.

Laloo-Rabri combine magic on decline
The RJD has decided Sm. Rabri Devi fight from two different constituencies, Ragho Pur the old one and another Son Pur. It has two implicit meanings. First, Laloo has lost faith in his charismatic personality.That is why he is not sure of even his wife's victory. Second, the constituency Sm. Rabri represented has not seen the light of development whatever dim other constituencies have seen. Third, Laloo cares little for national loss the country incurs when a person fights and wins from two constituencies. It is the Election Commission which should take necessary steps to save the people from extra financial burden.
It also exposes the internal discipline among all party workers. Only left parties have seen least disturbance for tickets. Intra fighting parties have very little credibility among electorate. Politics is, as politicians have it, service to the nation and people. How can they be so selfish and neglect party and society?
