New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said Friday that the issue of the resignation of its Bihar state unit chief C.P. Thakur will be sorted out soon.

Senior party leader Murli Manohar Joshi told mediapersons here that Thakur was a sincere party leader and if he was feeling hurt, the matter will be looked into.
"Talks are on with the party president. The matter will be sorted out," Joshi said.
Thakur resigned from his post Friday after his son was denied a ticket to contest the upcoming state assembly elections. He also complained of being "ignored and neglected" as the state party president.
He told reporters in Patna that he had sent in his resignation to party chief Nitin Gadkari.
Thakur said there were several other issues as well that prompted him to resign, and added that he would not participate in the election campaign for the BJP.
The resignation came amid plans being chalked out by the party to launch its campaign in the state.
Bihar will elect a 243-member assembly in six-phase polling that begins Oct 21 and ends Nov 20.
