JD(U) flays C P Thakur’s remarks on performance of Nitish govt

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Janata Dal (United) has taken strong exception to the reported remarks by the state BJP president, Dr C P Thakur, on the performance of the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar.

Dr Thakur had said on Sunday that during his recent Jan Naman Yatra he observed that the common mass gives 60 per cent marks to the state government’s performance.

According to the highly-placed sources the chief minister’s office has taken his statement seriously and had talked to the BJP leaders in Patna and New Delhi.

Retorting to Dr Thakur the state president of the Janata Dal (United). Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, asked as to what is the yardstick he had used to measure the performance of the state government. He claimed that the Nitish Kumar government performed exceptionally well and deserves much better rating.
Thakur’s party colleague and the state road construction minister, Prem Kumar, also objected to his statement. He said that he gives cent per cent marks to the state government which, according to him, has limited time and resources.

Party leaders said that statements like this would send a wrong message to the people. However, some others countered it by stating that Dr Thakur belongs to the older generation, when 60 per cent marks was considered too much.

Last week while taking part in the release of People’s Manifesto by BiharTimes and Greenpeace India Dr Thakur indirectly took a dig at the functioning of the state government.

The analysis of Dr. Thakur based on his observation of Bihar Public appears to be correct. Please compare your Patna today of Patna under Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav and any one can see even with his blind eyes that Bihar has been progressing which was going down the drain under Lalu Yadav, who had killed all the aspiration of BIHAREES for his self gain.Mr. Niitish Kumar"s aprpreciation by Dr. thakur is very timely and it must open the eyes of all the BIHAREES, so that in the next election Mr. Nitish Kumar must win the election for the future development of Bihar.Thank You for the opportunity to speak the truth
