Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to drop at least a dozen sitting MLAs, who revolted against the deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, a couple of years ago. The party is planning to bring at least 25 per cent fresh faces for the coming assembly election.

The BJP is likely to contest around 105 seats in the coming assembly elction while the rest have been left for the Janata Dal (United).
Reports quoting sources said that some of these MLAs have rushed to the BJP headquarters in New Delhi and seeking appointment with senior Central leaders to ensure that they are not dropped.
The party central leadership wants to give the signal that it is solidly behind Sushil Modi, who in its eyes, is the tallest leader of the party in Bihar.
These MLAs revolted against the deputy chief minister as they were of the view that he had compromise the party’s interest before the chief minister, Nitish Kumar.
The revolt, which continued for many weeks, was finally over after Modi won the confidence votes of maximum number of MLAs.
