Patna, April 13 (IANS) A team from the union social welfare ministry Wednesday began a probe into the recovery of 16 foetuses, mostly females, in Bihar's Kishanganj district, an official said.
A three-member team visited the spot where the foetuses were found and held discussions with police and district officials.

"The team is likely to visit private clinics and meet local residents to inquire into the case," a police official said.
The foetuses were recovered near a private nursing home in Kishanganj, about 400 km from here, early this month.
A police complaint was filed against the staff and employees of Life Care nursing home.
