Lalu takes to street; calls on workers to throw out Nitish govt

.Patna,(BiharTimes): For the first time after a long gap Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Yadav took to the streets of Patna when he led a Maha-Dharna near JP roundabout on Saturday.
Apparently putting up a brave front notwithstanding recent desertion by a couple of leaders Lalu announced that his party would undertake the Forbesganj March on September 5 and Raj Bhawan March on October 11.

Calling upon the workers to throw out the corrupt Nitish government he minced no words to denounce it for its failure on all the fronts. Former Union rural development minister, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh,
party MPs, Jagdanand Singh and Ram Kripal Yadav, other leaders like Kanti Singh, Ilyas Husain, Shakuni Chowdhary, Veena Shahi, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Ghulam Ghaus, Raghunath Jha etc converged to the J P roundabout.

Both Lalu and Raghuvansh raised the issues of CAG report on DC Bills, which points out towards gross irregularities worth Rs 41,000 crore,“the BIADA land allotments scam”, rise in crime, poor development
record in the state etc.

He asked as to what Nitish Kumar had done on his own and without the financial aids from the Centre.
Terming the maha-dharna as a trailer the RJD chief said that 94% villages in Bihar were without power.
Bureaucrats are ruling the roost in the state and there is rampant corruption all over the state right from the top to panchayat level.

Nitish can not survive too long just on the basis of advertisements, he added. He told the crowd that Bihar has the poorest record among all states in terms of lifting stocks of food grains and kerosene oil for distribution among the people living below the poverty line.Political observers are of the view that Saturday’s maha-dharna of the RJD has something to do with keeping the rank and file of the party together.

Lalu : Still an old head on old shoulder

Lalu Prasad Yadav was, is and will be the reason behind the existence of the despot like Nitish Kumar. This time people of Bihar will cheer when Lalu tenders his resignation from every post he holds and gives the bridle of his ailing party into the hands of some operation focused new face who can handle Nitish with equal dexterity and political mastermind.Lalu with all his good intentions and poor public understanding will only ensure and strengthen the NDA rule in Bihar. Wasting time in rebuilding his image and steeping from Dharna at JP round about to the Ghareeb Rally at Gandhi maidan will be a wasteful exercise.Bihar has moved on from the idiotic age of rustic satire at the press conference to the artistic media manipulation and news management. Simply banking on the mistakes of your opponent without having to present some original ideas for development and good governance will backfire if the skeletons pop up from his own closet.Mud slinging is no solution to the quagmire of Bihar. The most intelligent people on earth can not be dictated by back biting rivals.Enough is enough.
