.Patna,(BiharTimes): A division bench of Patna High Court comprising Justice S K Katriar and Justice A Amanullah, on Wednesday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation requesting the court to stop the release of film Aarakshan in Bihar.
Petitioner Pramod Kumar Singh had sought a stay on the release of the Prakash Jha directed film fearing breach of peace in the state.

He said certain comments allegedly made in the film were against the constitutional provisions.
The Court, however, dismissed the petition, saying a similar petition filed in the Bombay high court was dismissed on August 9. The bench further observed that as the film had already been released in Bihar on August 12 and no breach of peach took place since then, the application had been rendered infructuous.
