Patna,(BiharTimes): Ramendra Pandey, a kanwaria from Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, was killed when three armed criminals threw him out of a compartment of the running 6 Dn Amritsar-Howrah Express near Barhaiya railway station on the Kiul-Mokamah section of Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to reports the incident occurred when Ramendra resisted the attempt of criminals to snatch his suitcase. This followed the scuffle and the criminals lifted the passenger and threw him out of the train, which was running at a fairly fast speed. The dacoits then decamp with the suit case.
Interestingly, the escort party in the train was nowhere in the scene to come to his rescue. This section of the Danapur division has witnessed sharp rise in crime in the recent days.
