Patna,(BiharTimes): A few hours before implementing the new power tariff Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) on Wednesday decided to defer its decision to impose 10% hike in the energy bill for providing 24X7 quality power to Patna, Bodh Gaya and Rajgir from December 1.

Sources said that the hike has not been postponed because the power board has suddenly become soft towards its consumers but because it is yet to make full-proof arrangements for 24X7 supply of electricity to them. Fresh date would be announced after the arrangements are made.
The decision has come as a sigh of relief to the consumers, who believe that the state government is not in the position to supply quality power, but it was just an excuse to charge 10 per cent more.
In the last one year power tariff has been doubled but the supply position has only worsened.
