Uproarious scene in Council after Congress MLC calls Bihar minister Dabangg

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar Legislative Council witnessed an uproarious scene on the opening day of the Winter Session when Congress MLC, Jyoti, accused Giriraj Singh, a minister in the Nitish cabinet, of being a Dabangg.

The Congress MLC accused the minister of illegally occupying the bungalow meant for the chairman of the Legislative Council, Tarakant Jha.

It needs to be recalled that the 2-Kautaliya Road bungalow has been earmarked for the chairman, but during the NDA-I the then acting chairman, Arun Kumar, did not move there. Instead Giriraj Singh, in the capacity of minister lived in it.

However, recently the state government had allotted the bungalows to all the ministers and many of them have even shifted to their respective places.

When Jyoti raised the issue in the Council the minister became infuriated and said that he was not occupying the house illegally. His own bungalow is under repair and he would move to it once the work is over, he told the House.

The open support of the opposition MLCs for the Chairman and the silence of the treasury bench was quite noticeable.
