Patna,(BiharTimes): Human Resources Development minister Prashant Kumar Shahi on Wednesday denied that the government has any plan to rename Patna University after Dr Sachchidanand Sinha. |
The plea was made by Harendra Pratap Pandey, the BJP MLC. Dr Sachchidanand Sinha was the first Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council.
It needs to be recalled that during the 140th birth anniversary function of Dr Sachchidanand Sinha on November 10, 2011 in Patna Dr Gopal Prasad Sinha, BJP MLAs Arun Kumar Sinha and Nitin Navin and other distinguished guests urged the state government to rename Patna University after Dr Sinha and install his life-size statue on the campus of Sinha Library.
