Nitish denies media report about his involvement in fodder scam

Patna,(BiharTimes): After two days of uproarious scene in both the houses of Bihar Assembly chief minister Nitish Kumar opened his mouth on the issue of fodder scam on Thursday.
Passing the blame on to the RJD, the principal opposition party which raised the issue, he said that by raising the issue in the Houses it had conceded its involvement in the fodder scam.

Raising the issue the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, expressed his dismay over chief minister’s silence on a media report alleging that a scamster had bribed Nitish. He asked as to what is the harm in issuing a clarification.
The RJD members also protested during the Zero Hour. Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary expunged the contents that had been introduced without following the business procedures of the House.
Addressing Siddiqui the chief minister said by lending credence to the media report, which you people might have planted effectively, you have admitted that the fodder scam had taken place and money was siphoned off.
Indirectly stating that he was not in Lalu Prasad’s government Nitish said you can imagine the volume of money the people in the government might have plundered if an outsider like him was found worth bribing.
Pointing out that besides being the chief minister for the last six years, he had been a minister in the Union cabinet for quite a long time. But neither any investigating agency nor judiciary at any level has so far found him guilty of corruption.
On Monday the issue was raised by the RJD leader in the Council, Ghulam Ghouse.
Chauthi Duniya, in its recent issue, highlighted how a scamster had said that he had paid Rs one crore to Nitish Kumar, who was in early 1990s too close to Lalu Yadav. In the state politics he was just next to the then chief minister and remained so for about four and a half years before breaking his relationship with Lalu Yadav.
The report highlighted recently is not new. During the high time of the fodder scam investigation this issue was raised by a section of media.
