Patna,(BiharTimes): Neeraj Kumar, who was abducted from Katoria in Banka district, was finally released by abductors on Sunday.
Breaking the news from California in USA his brother Sanjeev Kumar thanked the Editor of BiharTimes.com, Ajay Kumar, for highlighthing the news of the safe release of his brother. |
The BiharTimes carried his appeal a day after his abduction last Wednesday when most of the major newspapers and television channels ignored it.
His appeal caused anger among a lot of netizens in India and abroad and they sent reactions to BiharTimes
Sanjeev also thanked the Superintendent of Police of Banka, Shyam Kumar, for the release of his brother.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to all netizens who stood by him during trying time.
Neeraj Kumar, it must be recalled, was going by bike from home in Katoria block of Banka district to Deoghar at 4:15 PM on Wednesday (December 29) when he abducted by a group of unknown persons.
Incidentally, Bihar has witnessed a sharp rise in crime, especially kidnapping, in the last few months. In several cases the kidnappers even killed the person they abducted or free them only after taking heavfy ransom from them. However, neither the family members nor the police is prepared to disclose this fact for obvious reasons.

Its really great relief that Neeraj kumar is safe and back to home. Thank God. But, I want to thank you also who gave me chance to raise my voice or anguish. Its really painful to remain silent when someone in neighbor is in trouble. I was feeling helpless but by making Bihar times as our voice, you have done great help to us. Thank you very much. Its just a good start, still a long way to go. I hope we all together will make Bihar the best place in world.

First of all let me congratulate Sanjeev , Bihar Police and Bihar Times and I sincerely hope that Neeraj is fit and fine.
As I had suggested earlier it will be tremendous approach from your side if you can publish
the other kidnapped people list awaiting release , their investigation status and Officer Investigating. This will definitely
highlight the plight of others as well and may force government machinery/bureaucracy to act fast.
Bihar Times has commendable penetration among the community and surely going to add to the good work which
you are doing.

Indeed it is good news and thanks to the Sri. Nitish Kumar Government for taking the issue serious. Also thanks to Bihar Times who have highlighted such issue. Media can play greater role in fighting corruption and making the society free from crime and wrongdoing.
The release has proofed that if the government is serious and if its concerned machineries are active in performing their duties not only the releasing of kidnapped people can be ensured but also such heinous crimes can be stopped for ever. The office of Sri Nitish Kumar has very professional IAS officers like Sri. Afzal Amanulla who has ability to make Bihar a paradise-like society.
Go Go Go for fighting corruption and crimes in Bihar

Sanjeev we are really shocked after reading the abduction news of your brother on Bihar times. We all share your feelings and appeal to Bihar government not to leave a small stone untouched for your brother's safe return. Nitish government has been trying to change the image of Bihar but some goons and bad elements are trying to ruin it. I am dead sure everyone would have been hurt after hearing this news. Prays of large number of people will not go in vain. We all are with you. We pray to God that Neeraj returns safely back to his family. I am also sure that the government and the entire Police force of Bihar have been putting their all efforts and will not relax till Neeraj is back home safely.
