Patna,(BiharTimes): Though the BJP national president, Nitin Gadkari, often calls the CBI as the Congress Bureau of Investigation the deputy chief minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, finally agreed to the Central Bureau of Investigation probe to the entire episosde which led to the murder of the party MLA Raj Kishore Kesri.

On Saturday the chief minister Nitish Kumar recommended the case to the CBI, though the final words are yet to come from the investigative agency.
Political observers are of the view that the BJP came under pressure from different quarters within and outside and Modi finally succumbed to the pressure.
Minus two ministerial colleagues Giriraj Singh and Satya Deo Narayan Arya no other minister and big leader came out in his favour. The party’s national vice president, Kiran Ghai, while talking to a newspaper said something quite contrary to what Modi was stating. However, while talking to televisin channels a day later she toed the party line and appeared to have supported Modi.
Minus these leaders no other prominent BJP leader has spoken on the issue. In fact in private they are extremely critical of Modi for landing the party in the state in trouble.
Political observers are of the view that the Janata Dal (United) leaders are happy at this state of affairs within the BJP as they started fearing the saffron party after its unprecedented success in the recently held Assembly election. While the BJP won 91 out of 102 seats it contested the Janata Dal (United) could win 115 out 141 it fought.
The growing clout of the BJP within the NDA was causing tremendous amount of pressure on the Janata Dal (United) leaders. Now in the MLA murder case the party has got an excellent oppoertunity to clip the wings of the BJP. The tragedy of the BJP is that Sushil Modi has further aggravated the problem by hurling charges on the lady principal who killed the MLA on the alleged charge of rape.
The issue was extremely sensitive and could have been handled in a much better way, the party leaders alleged.
