Patna,(BiharTimes): Rejecting the demand of the CBI inquiry over the large scale irregularities in the allotment of BIADA land to the close relatives of ruling Janata Dal (United)-BJP leaders and senior bureaucrats social activist-turn-Social Welfare Minister of Bihar, Parween Amanullah, said on Wednesday that any inquiry by central agency is a costly affair and can be possible only when the opposition parties bear its financial burden.

She reiterated that there is a conspiracy to malign her and her husband and said that she was proud of her daughter on whose name over 87,000 square feet of land has been allotted in an industrial area of Bihar.
The minister’s argument, termed by many political observers as fantastic, came as a rude shock even for the admirers of the Nitish government as by that logic all demand of the CBI probe can be rejected. In that way the CBI would be left with no work.
“What is strange is that it is the same NDA which has been repeatedly demanding CBI probe into all the allegations of corruption leveled by the BJP and Janata Dal (United) against UPA in Centre. How can such a funny statement come from the mouth of a minister in the Nitish Kumar cabinet,” said the spokesman of newly formed Bihar Nav Nirman Manch, Satya Narayan Madan.
He also said that by seeking report from the Chief Secretary on the land allotment issue Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has exposed to the world as to how little he knows about the functioning of Bihar and that too on such an important issue of industrialization. “It is now clear, everything is in the hands of bureaucrats and Nitish is just a rubber-stamp chief minister,” he told BiharTimes.
Like Parween, the Human Resources Development minister, Prashant Kumar Shahi, whose daughter also got over 87,000 square feet of land in Vaishali district said that the sons and daughters of ministers had right to earn and do business. Both of them have become ministers for the first time.
Political observers are of the view that now that these leaders are neck deep in trouble they are coming out with statements which do not behove their status. After all they should at least know as to on whose behalf are they speaking.
