Patna,(BiharTimes): Hundreds of candidates, who failed in Plus-II exams, along with their parents staged a protest demonstration outside the Patna regional office of the CBSE on Tuesday. They alleged gross irregularities in the results which were declared on May 27. |
The Patna Zone had announced the result for the first time this year. Bihar and Jharkhand fall under this newly created Zone.
It needs to be recalled that one of the candidates, who qualified IIT-JEE exam this year has failed in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. There are several other cases of students who cracked other competition but have failed in one or two subjects.
In some cases students were given Zero, when they got reasonably good marks in Practical. How can then he or she be given Zero, they argued.
However, Patna CBSE's regional officer S U Sorte told media thatthe office had received no complaint in this regard from any regular school so far. The protesting students belong to non-regular schools, he said.
He said protocols of the evaluation system was strictly followed and each answer paper cross-checked three times before the results were declared.
Patna Zone had 69 centres where 4,500 evaluators were deployed to evaluate 62,541 answer papers.
