Patna, (BiharTimes): Film director Mahesh Bhatt on Monday strongly denounced some BJP leaders of Bihar for accusing him of having anti-Bihari mindset simply because he attended a Press Conference in Patna on June 10 to condemn the barbaric police action against villagers of Forbesganj. |
Bhatt, along with Shabnam Hashmi, and others attended the Press Conference and strongly criticised
the Nitish Kumar government for its inaction. He even wondered if Nitish Kumar would allow Bihar to go the Gujarat way. A day later several local leaders of the BJP took strong exception to his statement and termed it anti-Bihari.
Upon this Bhatt reacted strongly. He reminded them that he is the one who stands up before the goons of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena for the cause and safety of Bihari brothers. He regretted that the BJP is baying for his blood when he, in a similar fashion, stood for the hapless and defenceless people of Bhajanpur village in Forbesganj.
He once again appealed to the chief minister to step in urgently and take firm action against the perpetrators.
