Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has urged the state energy department authorities to bring a detailed draft on Bihar Saurya Kranti Sinchai Yojana (Bihar Solar Revolution Irrigation Project).

Addressing a high-level meeting with officials of the state energy department here on Wednesday he asked the department principal secretary Ajay Naik to present the draft for implementation of the project in the state soon.
He said that his government was making sincere efforts to ensure that farmers benefit from the irrigation facilities utilising the solar pumpsets.
Nitish said that the department should present a draft for making available more and more irrigation to farmers at low cost. The project was aimed at bettering the environment and lower the dependence on electricity and energy.
Apart from others Power Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Chief Secretary Anup Mukherjee, Development Commissioner K C Saha, Agriculture Production Commissioner A K Sinha, Agriculture Secretary N Vijay Laxmi took part at the meeting.
