Patna,(BiharTimes): Actor Ranbir Kapoor has donated solar lamps worth lakhs of rupees to the people of Purani Bazar locality of Lakhisarai town of Bihar.
As solar power is an economical energy option for the people Ranbir has decided to donate lamps to prevent global warming. |
Reports said that Ranbir did his own research before donating the lamps. He found that solar lamps are more economical and less polluting than kerosene lamps.

It is a very good news that Ranbir Kapoor has thought of solar energy use as a solution against global warming. It is even more interesting that he chose a part of Bihar where such lamps are needed the most due to inability of the government to provide electricity. Why Bihar has difficulty in getting power plants where other states have multiplied the generation many times ? Obviously this is some thing to think about.
