Patna,(BiharTimes): The ‘slapping’ of district magistrate of Gopalganj by a lady principal, Madhu Prabha Singh, came up in the Bihar Legislative Council with opposition MLCs alleging that it was not the lady principal but the district magistrate, Pankaj Kumar Pal, who beat her up. Not only that they said that another teacher belonging to the weaker section of the society, Prof Manish Kumar, has also been badly beaten up by the DM and his security personnel. |
The issue was raised by Kedar Nath Pandey of the CPI and Mahachandra Prasad Singh of Congress, who moved Adjournment Motion, but it was rejected by the Chairman of the House, Tarakant Jha. Singh said that the news has been distorted and it was not the principal but the DM who committed excesses.
Nawal Kishore Yadav sought a probe into the whole matter. Tarakant Jha asked the deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, to get the matter investigated.
