Maoists’ gun down five on Holi eve in Gaya district

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): About half a dozen people lost their lives in Maoists’ violence in Imamganj Assembly constituency of Gaya district in the last 48 hours. The Speaker of Bihar Assembly, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, represents this segment and reports said that at least a couple of those killed were the supporters of the ruling Janata Dal (United).

According to reports three people were abducted and killed in Maigra bazaar, seven kilometers from Dumaria block, about 100 km from Gaya district headquaters, on Saturday night. Though the incident took place not far away from the CRPF camp yet no police action could be taken to prevent the incident. Unconfirmed reports said that the Maoists have taken away two other people and their whereabouts is not yet known.


In another incident two persons were killed on Friday night in Imamganj block.


Reports from Dumaria said that three days back the Maoists’ took away a person and broke his hands.
Local citizens told BiharTimes from Dumaria over phone that though there is panic all over the region no police action is visible. The Maoists anger are directed against the breakaway group, the RCC, which reportedly enjoys the patronage of the ruling combination in Bihar. RCC broke away from the Communist Party of India (Maoists) a few years back and has some presence in the region and in the nearby Rafiganj block of Aurangabad district.
