Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Bihar has been facing acute shortage of
IPS officers the Nitish government is yet to promote 13 Bihar Police Service personnel to this rank notwithstanding the fact that the Union Public Service Commission's selection board cleared their names on December 27 last year. |
What is more intereesting is that
neighbouring Jharikhand has already promoted its officers though the selection board cleared its name three days after Bihar.
The state chief secretary, state DGP, state home secretary, a joint/additional secretary-rank officer of Union home ministry and an ADG of a central police organization, met under the chairmanship of a UPSC member to clear the names. But the state
government is yet to issue notification.
According to reports the 13 officers are SP Vigilance Bureau Sudhir Kumar,
SP-CID Mansur Ahmed, SP Sheohar P K Sinha, BMP-3 Commandant Dayanand Kumar,
SP-A Asghar Imam, SP Homeguards Ajit Kumar Rai, SP Saharsa
Mohammad Rahman, SP Naugachhia Mithu Prasad, SRP Katihar
Sukan Paswan, SP Supaul Vinod Kumar, SP Madhubani Saurabh Kumar, SP Jehanabad Chandrika Prasad, and SP Madhepura Barun Kumar Sinha.
