Patna,(BiharTimes): After state health miniser, Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Ujjiarpur Janata Dal (United) MP another MP of the same party has
received threatening call reportedly from criminal elements.
An FIR was lodged on Monday with the Secretariat Police Station in Patna following directive of Director General of Police Neelmani,
It has been lodged against unidentified persons charging them with making threatening calls and extortion demands from JD(U) MP from Samastipur Maheshwar Hazari. |
The MP complained that he had received an SMS from cell phone number 9162862750 threatening that his son would be killed if the he failed to meet the extortion demand of Rs 50 lakh.
He received four similar messages from other mobile phones whose numbers were: 9572820808, 8084186777, 8401581123 and 9661574074.
He had received the messages when he was at his North Srikrishnapuri residence in Patna.It needs to be recalled that two persons were arrested in Samastipur for making phone calls to the party MP from Ujjiarpur last month. They both were the neighbours of the MP.
The elected representatitves are receiving threatening calls at the time when the law and order situation has deteriorated further in the state.
