Patna,(BiharTimes): For the first time in 11 years of its existence the number of total webpage view of BiharTimes crossed a million mark in October 2011. The actual figure was 1103268. The site witnessed 2332985 hits in this period.

No newsportal of Bihar had reached this much figure in any month. BiharTimes which came into existence on November 8, 1999 was launched with the objective to present information on Bihar specially for non-resident Biharis, at a time when there was little such information available on web sites and the Bihar government did not have a website.
Recently, IIM, Ahmedabad has done a case study on this portal which was also published in the newsletter of this prestigious institute this year.
This portal has taken initiative in organizing Global Meet for a Resurgent Bihar. The then President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam inaugurated this meet on January 19, 2007. Its global network and popularity helped a lot in mobilizing people living even in other parts of the globe.
This year it is going to organize BiharTimes Conclave in Hotel Chankaya on December 17 and 18.
