Patna,(BiharTimes): The wordy duel between the the leaders of the ruling constituents, Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party in Gopalganj district took a new turn with deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi admonishing his own party MLAs.

The three BJP MLAs Rampravesh Rai, Indradeo Manjhi and Subhash Singh had recently levelled serious charges of corruption against Minister for Transport, Brishen Patel, who is minister-in-charge of Gopalganj too. They even sought the removal of Patel from the post of minister in charge of the district.
Rai was the minister of tourism in the last Nitish ministry. However, he was not made minister after Nitish came to power in November 2010.
When he, along with other two BJP MLAs, flayed Patel a few days back, the Janata Dal (United) MLA, Manjit Singh, hit back by stating that Rai was not competent enough to be made minister again. This infuriated Rai, who strongly criticized Manjit. In fact he said that Manjit is too junior to him to be taken notice of.
Fed up with this war of words deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi intervened and strongly reprimanded his own partymen. He said indiscipline would not be tolerated at any level in the party. it is a serious matter. The MLAs should have raised any such matter within the party instead of rushing to media.
Talking to the media he said these leaders should think thrice before raising fingers against the leaders of an NDA ally.
On the other hand Bihar BJP president Dr C P Thakur said he had called the three MLAs to Patna for clarifying their position. He said he does not think there is anything serious in it.
Patel denied the charges of corruption against him and said the BJP MLAs should have heard the position first before making any statement.
