Patna,(BiharTimes): Five students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna, along with other artistes are representing Bihar at the ongoing 31st India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The Fair was inaugurated on November 14 and would conclude on November 27.

According to Sanjay Shrivastava, a NIFT professor Bihar, along with Odisha, are the two focused states this year for giving international exposure.
Dharmendra Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Shushoban Mishra, Abhinav and Rajat Baratwal are the five students representing the state. Apart from Shrivastava, Vinayak Yashraj is the other teacher leading the team.
Reports from New Delhi said that they have conceptualized and designed Bihar’s pavilion in a way that it is depicting the richness of silk fabrics from the state, whose theme is Indian Handicrafts––the Magic of Gifted Hands.
According to reports the fabrics used by the NIFT students for showcasing the richness of silk fabrics and its products made here, was brought specially from Bhagalpur and Madhubani. The display is highlighted with the right mix of designed garments, drapery and home furnishing items.
Saris, carpets, stoles, shawls, ties, cushion covers, and garments designed to communicate vibrant and green Bihar like jackets, waist coats, shirts, kurtas, trousers, blouses, tops and kids wear are on display in the Fair. Jute jewellery, Sikki products, bags and accessories are also being showcased.
