Patna,(BiharTimes): It was an embarrassing moment for Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and all the VIPs when Ravana collapsed before being put on fire in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on Thursday evening.
Ravana broke from the middle even as authorities were making preparations to lit the fire. All efforts made to put it erect proved counterproductive. However, it had to be hurriedly torched. In the process Ravana collapsed again and could not be properly burnt.

Many of those who were assembled there considered this development as inauspicious as the evil could not be wiped out.
Others blamed the administration for poor management. Incidentally, every thing happened before the live telecast by some local TV channels.
As if that was not enough. In Nirmali in Madhubani district, the last rites of late minister Hari Prasad Sah literally ended in damp squib with only four out of 21 fires could be made. Either the gun was defective or the bullet used for it could not be known. But the two events are pointer to the fact as to how things are going on in Bihar.
