Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as resentment grows among Muslims of Bihar after the flagging off of Lal Krishna Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar yet another leader of the community has been reminded of his secular credentials and good work.

It took more than three and a half years for the Rajya Sabha MP Sabir Ali to realize that Ram Vilas Paswan is running a family party with no scope for any other leaders to emerge. And as a migratory bird he too had deemed it fit to switch side. He send his resignation to Paswan accusing him of promoting nepotism.
He alleged that LJP had no place for dedicated workers. Paswan only favours his family members. The party does not have any hold at the grassroots level. Neither does the party have any vision nor any thought for future.
He made it amply clear that he would be joining Janata Dal (United) very soon.
Now LJP is left with just one MP and one MLA. Thanks to the support of RJD, Paswan himself got elected to the Rajya Sabha last year June. The only MLA left in the party is Zakir Hussain, who represents Araria. The party does not have any representation in the state Legislative Council after all three of its MLCs resigned on June 25, last and joined the JD(U). This is simply because Council election is due next year. Two out of three MLAs, who won last year, left the party in recent months.
Ram Vilas Paswan, who ushered this little known businessman from Mumbai into the party fold sometimes before the 2008 Rajya Sabha election, now strongly criticized him for ditching the party. He said Sabir had a vested interest and that is why he had resigned from the party.
