Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after the recovery of the badly composed body of Tarun Das, a priest, the Patna Police on Friday arrested Heera Das, the priest of a Digha-based temple.
According to Patna Central SP, Shivdeep Lande some witnesses revealed that Heera Das had a scuffle with Tarun Das on Sunday night. Heera had assaulted Tarun with a bamboo stick and locked him inside a room. The SP said that some local residents told the police that Heera wanted to keep another priest at the Udasin Math Hanuman Temple.

DSP (Law & Order) L M Sharma said that Tarun was last seen on Saturday. He said that during investigation, the police came to know that Heera reached Udasin Math on Sunday night at around 9 PM and had a scuffle with Tarun over Rs 7,000.
Heera had confessed before the police that he had hit Tarun with a bamboo stick and locked him inside one of the rooms. However, Heera told police that when he returned to the Math at around 11:00 clock the same night, he found Tarun had committed suicide inside the room.
But the police have doubt over his statement.
