Patna,(BiharTimes): A railway employee posted in Begusarai district of Bihar was on Saturday sent to jail for allegedly raping his teenaged daughter at their rented house at Vijay Nagar under the Patrakar Nagar police station area of Patna.
The victim, a Class-IX student, alleged that her father, a yard master posted at Garhara in Begusarai district, had been sexually assaulting her for quite some time.

On Friday, when she returned from school, he entered her room and attempted to rape her again. When she resisted, he allegedly hit her with a stick and forced himself upon her.
The girl's mother, a housewife, and two brothers were not at home when the incident took place. According to the SDPO (Sadar) Rashid Zaman when the man went to the bathroom after commiting the heinous crime, the girl bolted the door from outside and ran out of the house, raising an alarm.
Upon this the shocked neighbours rushed for help and started thrashing the railway employee. They called police and got him arrested.
The SDPO said that had the police reached a little late, the mob would have lynched him. He said the medical examination had confirmed rape and bruises on the private parts of the girls.
