Patna,(BiharTimes): In a rare incident of its kind a girl, in late teens, was abducted while she went to attend her college for the first time in her life. The incident took place in Ara town of Bhojpur district on Tuesday.

Suman Kumari, daughter of Ajay Kumar alias Gandhiji, sarpanch of Karisath gram panchayat, 13 km west of Ara, left her home for H D Jain College in Ara on Tuesday morning not to return home in the evening. At about 4:34 PM his father received a call from the alleged kidnappers, who demanded Rs 20 lakh as ransom for the release of her Suman.
The following morning, that is on Wednesday, an FIR was lodged in this regard. Kidnapping for ransom has increased manifold in Bihar in the last few months. school and college going boys and girls are the main target. Several of these cases have ended up in ghastly murder.
