Patna,(BiharTimes): Union Drinking Water Secretary Navin Kumar, a 1975 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer, was on Monday appointed as the Chief Secretary of Bihar. He will succeed Anup Mukherjee, who is to retire on September 30.

Though Navin Kumar is on central deputation, chief minister Nitish has asked him to return to Patna to take charge as Chief Secretary. He was the Development Commissioner of Bihar before moving to Delhi.
