Patna,(BiharTimes): Last Friday witnessed five murders in Patna. Four of them were purely due to the failure in law and order situation while the fifth one can be attributed to the domestic violence.
In the first case, which apparently was the outcome of a family discord, Mithilesh Kumar allegedly killed his 10-year-old son when the latter tried to stop him from beating up his mother.

The incident took place at Nandlal Colony under Bahadurpur police station in the small hours of Friday. Mithilesh escaped after allegedly committing the crime.
The second incident occurred at around 9 AM, when some criminals shot dead a contractor, Jeetendra Singh, in the portico of his Daadar Mandi house in under Alamganj police station of Patna City.
Later on the same day a family discovered the body of its 18-year-old son, Mohammed Dilshad Ali Khan, at Nalanda Medical College Hospital. Media reports suggest that Didarganj police had found the body abandoned at Madhopur area and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. Dilshad had gone missing from a private lodge in Sabzibagh where he had been staying.
Around 9.30 PM on Friday, criminals gunned down 24-year-old Santosh Kumar barely a few metres from his rented accommodation in Shivpuri in Shastri Nagar area. The place of occurrence is not far away from where Bihar director-general of police, Abhayanand, stays. Santosh was shot in the head while he was returning home on his motorcycle from his Maharaja Complex ready made shop. Land dispute is said to be the cause of his murder. Two persons were arrested in this connection.
The last murder of the day was committed at about 10:30 PM in the Jaggi roundabout under Khajekala police station of Patna City. A group of criminals shot dead 32-year-old Mohammad Pintu right in front of his residence before disappearing in the dark.
Apart from this, another boy identified as 13-year-old Rahul, has been missing from his residence at Kurji under Patliputra police station since March 28. The murder of missing Dilshad created panic in the family of Rahul too.
