Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar said on Wednesday that his government is open to the idea of having an off-campus centre of the Banaras Hindu University at Motihari in East Champaran district provided BHU makes the proposal. The Aligarh Muslim University, in 2008, decided to open five off-campus centres all over the country. Later it added two more. |
Responding to a resolution by BJP member Avnish Kumar Singh, who comes from Champaran, in the Assembly Nitish said it would be considered if such a proposal came from the BHU. The BJP MLA urged the state government to set up a BHU centre at Motihari.
