Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday rejected the demand for a CBI probe into the recent CAG report, which highlighted large scale irregularities in Bihar.
Talking to mediapersons he said it had become a fashion to make such demand. Taking a dig at RJD chief Lalu Prasad for seeking a CBI investigation into non-submission of detailed contingent (DC) bills of over Rs 22,000 crore he said these days Laluji appears to have become a supporter of the CBI. |
Not only RJD chief, but even LJP supermo, Ram Vilas Paswan, has made a similar demand.The chief minister said the state government had taken action after review of the CAG report by the PAC.
Referring to Sushil Kumar Modi the chief minister said that a senior minister has already clarified on the CAG report.
He said when the report will come it will first go to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Whatever are the final points, which are put forward by the PAC will be accepted by the state government.
The CAG report has indicted the Nitish Kumar Government in Bihar for severe fiscal mismanagement.
