Wife of Janata Dal (United) MP surrenders

Patna,(BiharTimes): The wife of ruling Janata Dal (United) MP from Valmikinagar, Baidyanath Mahto, surrendered before Judicial Magistrate, Narendra Pal Singh, at Bettiah in West Champaran district on Wednesday. She was remanded to judicial custody till May 4.

Sudama Devi was charged with irregularities in the appointment of a clerk in a cooperative bank about 16 years ago. She was then the secretary of the district cooperative bank.

Sudama surrendered only after the court declared her an absconder.
