Patna,(BiharTimes): A team of National Commission for Women would be visiting Patna shortly to inquire into the alleged gang rape of a school girl.
A delegation of former Youth Congress leaders on Tuesday met the chairperson of the NCW and demanded an inquiry into the incident. The Youth Congress memorandum to NCW, accused the state government of covering up the gang rape.

They told the NCW chairperson, Mamata Sharma, that despite the fact that the incident had taken place on June 14––with the CD being in circulation and even aired on TV channels––the police lodged an FIR on July 22 after a member of the Bihar State Women’s Commission intervened.
The delegation was led by Chandan Yadav and Arvind Chaudhary apprised the NCW of the situation and demanded that its team be sent to Bihar. Sharma assured that a team would soon be visiting the state.
