Patna, Aug 18 (IANS) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi Saturday said there was no report of exodus of northeast people from the state while security has been tightened in all Assam-bound trains passing through Bihar.

"Till date people from the northeast are not leaving Bihar for Assam as there is no threat to them. The state government had alerted police and administration to take extra care of them," Modi said.
Additional security forces have been deployed in all Assam-bound trains passing through Bihar, he added.
An official of the East Central Railway, headquartered at Hajipur near Patna, said for the last few days there is heavy rush in Assam-bound trains passing through Bihar.
There has been an exodus of people from the northeast, especially from south India, back to their homes after rumoured threats of attacks on them in retaliation for the communal clashes in Assam's Bodo areas last month.
