Patna,(BiharTimes): In a daring act thieves broke into the houses of two former ministers of Bihar and looted cash and ornament in the wee hours of Sunday.
The thieves broke into the houses of former ministers Braj Kishore Singh and Hari Das Mahto. They overpowered the relatives of the ministers and tied them with ropes before committing the crime. |
Incidentally, the crime took place in the posh Airport Colony under Airport police station. Besides present and past ministers and MPs, and MLAs there are houses of former CMs too here, yet theft is a regular phenomenon.
Meanwhile, a delegation of BJP met DGP, Abhayanand, and urged him to check steep rise in crime in East Champaran district. They were led by Motihari MLA, Pramod Kumar. Two more MLAs from the district were part of the delegation.
State BJP chief, C P Thakur, too cautioned the state government on the law and order front.
However, JD(U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar, refused to accept alliance partner BJP’s stand on law and order situation in the state.
